Delicious and easy-to-make Char Siu Chicken with a sweet, sticky glaze that’s perfect for meal prep or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon five-spice powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, five-spice powder, brown sugar, and garlic.
- Marinate chicken in the sauce for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, brushing with marinade halfway through.
- Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve with jasmine rice and stir-fried vegetables.
Notes
For a restaurant-style look, add a drop of red food coloring to the marinade.
