A quick and easy air fryer chicken teriyaki recipe that is high in protein and ready in 20 minutes.

- 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 to 3 teaspoons light brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (diced into 1-inch pieces)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil for coating air fryer basket
- Green onions (optional for garnishing)
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnishing)
Instructions
- Add teriyaki sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper to a bowl and mix.
- Add diced chicken, stir to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Drizzle olive oil over the air fryer basket or spray with cooking spray.
- Preheat air fryer to 385F if required.
- Add chicken to the air fryer in a single layer, discarding excess marinade.
- Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken reaches 165F, flipping halfway through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use store-bought teriyaki sauce or make your own.
- Adjust garlic and ginger to taste.
- Consider cooking in the 380-390F range for optimal results.
- Serve with rice for a complete meal.
