- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
- 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chocolate sauce or ganache
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-inch deep dish pizza pan or springform pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, mixing on low speed.
- Fold in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips.
- Press 2/3 of the cookie dough into the bottom and sides of the pan.
- In a clean bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and beat well.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream until just combined.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cookie dough base.
- Place remaining cookie dough in small pieces over the cheesecake, then sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is set but jiggles slightly.
- Let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Before serving, drizzle with chocolate sauce and add whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Allow ingredients to come to room temperature for best results. Ensure proper cooling time to prevent a runny center.
