Description
Indulge in Moist Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter (Not natural, for best results)
- 1 cup Sugar (Can substitute with brown sugar)
- 3 large Ripe Mashed Bananas (Essential for moisture and sweetness)
- 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil (Melted coconut oil can be used)
- 2 large Eggs (Can substitute with aquafaba for vegan)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Use pure vanilla for best flavor)
- 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour (Gluten-free flour can be a substitute)
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder (Dutch-processed for richer taste)
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda (Do not swap for baking powder without adjustments)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (Balances sweetness and enhances flavor)
- Banana Slices (Optional for garnish)
- 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter (Natural varieties won’t melt smoothly)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted creamy peanut butter, sugar, ripe mashed bananas, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Gradually stir in cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gently fold in all-purpose flour until no streaks of flour remain.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Optionally, arrange banana slices on top.
- Bake for approximately 55 minutes, checking for doneness with a knife or toothpick.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the drizzle, melt additional creamy peanut butter until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled loaf.
