Description

A quick and easy tropical dessert featuring crispy fried pineapple rings, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can or fresh pineapple, sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup cold club soda
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned pineapple rings or slice fresh pineapple into rings.
  2. Pat the pineapple rings dry to avoid soggy batter.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and sugar.
  4. Whisk in cold club soda until the batter is thick but runny.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
  6. Dip each pineapple ring in the batter and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

Notes

Serve with dips like honey-lime yogurt, spiked coconut cream, or chocolate sauce. For variation, try stuffing rings with cream cheese or adding chili powder for a spicy kick.
