- 1 cup Water
- 4 sheets Nori Sheets
- 1 medium Hot House Cucumber
- 1 medium Avocado
- 1 cup Imitation Crab Meat
- 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool slightly.
- Combine rice vinegar, granulated sugar, and kosher salt in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until dissolved, then cool.
- Fold the vinegar mixture into the cooked sushi rice until evenly coated.
- Prepare your sushi mat with plastic wrap, then lay down a nori sheet shiny side down.
- Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving 1 inch at the top edge.
- Arrange cucumber, avocado, and imitation crab in a line across the center of the rice.
- Roll the sushi away from you, pressing gently to create a tight roll.
- Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces using a sharp, wet knife.
- Serve with soy sauce and toasted sesame seeds.
