Classic Fudgy Chocolate Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10–15 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your fudgy chocolate brownies!
