Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
