Description

A quick and easy dinner featuring tender steak strips in a silky garlic butter sauce, served with noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or ramen noodles
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak into thin, 1/4-inch strips and marinate in a mixture of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles in salted boiling water according to package directions and toss with olive oil.
  3. In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter with olive oil, add garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Remove steak from marinade, pat dry, and cook in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
  5. Add remaining butter, beef broth, and brown sugar to the skillet, then add cooked noodles and toss to coat.
  6. Return steak and juices to the skillet, mix in green onions, and serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use rice noodles instead. Can substitute chicken or shrimp for steak, or use mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
