Description

A comforting and savory ground turkey meatloaf baked with stuffing, offering a healthier twist on a classic dish. Perfect for cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Ground Turkey
  • 1 box Stuffing Mix
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped and sautéed
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced and sautéed
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare loaf pan by greasing or lining with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onions in olive oil or butter for 4-5 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute more. Allow to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, stuffing mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and the cooled onion-garlic mixture. This is your ground turkey meatloaf stuffing blend.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing gently to form an even shape.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes.
  6. While the meatloaf bakes, whisk together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and paprika until smooth.
  7. After 45 minutes, glaze the meatloaf with the mixture.
  8. Return the loaf to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let the ground turkey meatloaf with stuffing rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Serve with fresh herbs for added flavor.
  • Consider using gluten-free stuffing and breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
  • For a spicier variation, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the meat mixture.
  • This recipe is versatile and can be customized with various add-ins like sautéed mushrooms or cheese.
