Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
- 2 cups Potatoes, diced into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add lean ground turkey. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until it’s no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Season the ground turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and oregano. Stir well, allowing the spices to infuse the turkey. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and let it shimmer. Toss in the diced potatoes and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become golden brown.
- Return the browned turkey to the skillet and mix it with the sautéed potatoes.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and water, stirring until everything is nicely combined. Adjust the consistency with water based on your preference for thickness.
- Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 5 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender. Adjust seasoning if desired before serving this ground turkey potato dish.
