Description

Crispy, golden quesadillas filled with juicy chicken tossed in a homemade hot honey BBQ sauce, melted cheese, and red onions.


Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas (Burrito size)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (Shredded)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (Shredded)
  • 1/2 medium red onion (Diced)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (Your favorite brand)
  • 2 tbsp honey (For sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (Or sriracha)
  • 1 tbsp butter (Melted, for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (Seasoning)
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro (Chopped garnish)

Instructions

  1. Whisk BBQ sauce, honey, hot sauce, melted butter, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  2. Toss shredded chicken with half of the sauce until fully coated.
  3. Layer cheese, chicken, onion, and more cheese on half of each tortilla; fold to close.
  4. Cook in a buttered skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy.
  5. Slice into wedges, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with cilantro.
