Description

This Peanut Butter Fudge has a rich, moist texture with intense peanut butter flavor. It’s perfect for sharing with friends and family during the holidays.


Ingredients

  • 7 tablespoons butter (salted)
  • 2 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 and 2/3 cups peanut butter (15 ounces)
  • 1 (7-ounce) tub marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients.
  2. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  3. Melt 7 tablespoons of butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add 2/3 cup evaporated milk and stir.
  5. Slowly pour in 2 and 1/4 cups sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  6. Stir until the sugar is mostly moistened.
  7. Keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  8. Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil.
  9. Set a timer for 5 minutes and stir constantly.
  10. Remove from heat if it reaches 234-236 degrees F before 5 minutes.
  11. Add 1 and 2/3 cups peanut butter and stir quickly.
  12. Microwave the marshmallow creme for 15-20 seconds.
  13. Add the marshmallow creme to the peanut butter mixture and stir until nearly blended.
  14. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and stir until smooth.
  15. Pour into the prepared pan.
  16. Shake the pan to help the fudge settle.
  17. Let cool to room temperature for 2-4 hours.
  18. Slice into pieces and serve.
  19. Store covered on the counter.
  20. To freeze, wrap cooled fudge in plastic wrap and place in a ziplock freezer bag.

Notes

  • Fudge serves about 7 people.
