Description

Pumpkin Donuts with Brown Sugar Glaze: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fill the Donut Pan: Use a piping bag to fill each donut cavity about 3/4 full with batter.
  6. Bake: Place the donut pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the Donuts: Remove the pan from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Prepare the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  9. Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are completely cooled, dip the tops into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
  10. Allow to Set: Place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack for a few minutes to let the glaze set before serving.
