Description

Crispy, tangy pizza with spicy pork sausage, fresh herbs, and salty feta, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
  • 200 g (3/4 cup) crushed tomatoes or pizza sauce
  • 200250 g (7–9 oz) Italian sausage
  • 150 g (1 1/2 cups) shredded mozzarella
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) crumbled feta
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 10 g (2 tbsp) chopped fresh oregano or basil
  • Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven with a baking stone or inverted baking sheet to 260°C (500°F) for at least 45 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the sausage until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Dust a work surface with flour and stretch the dough into a 30 cm (12 in) round.
  4. Spread crushed tomatoes in a thin layer on the dough, leaving a border.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and cooked sausage on top.
  6. Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone and bake for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately scatter feta and herbs on top.
  8. Slice and serve, brushing the crust with olive oil if desired.

Notes

Pair with a simple green salad and lemon for brightness.
