Savor Steak Bites with Miso Ginger Dressing for Dinner Bliss


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger (finely grated)
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp White Miso Paste
  • 2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Oil (neutral oil)
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Agave (for sweetness)
  • 4 cups Cooked Rice (or your favorite grain)
  • 2 cups Bok Choy or Leafy Vegetable (chopped)
  • 1 lb Steak (Ribeye, Sirloin, or Skirt) (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 tbsp Butter or Oil (for cooking)
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  1. Blend the Dressing: Combine the shallot, fresh ginger, garlic, white miso paste, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, oil, and honey (or agave) in a blender. Process until smooth and creamy, then set aside.
  2. Prepare the Grains and Greens: Ensure your rice or preferred grain is cooked and ready. Wash and chop the bok choy or leafy greens.
  3. Season the Steak: Sprinkle a small pinch of salt and black pepper on both sides of the steak.
  4. Heat the Skillet: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and let it melt and bubble.
  5. Brown the Butter: Allow the butter to brown slightly, then stir in dark soy sauce.
  6. Sear the Steak: Place steak pieces in the skillet. Sizzle undisturbed for 30 to 45 seconds.
  7. Flip the Steak: Flip the steak and cook for an additional 30 to 45 seconds.
  8. Cook the Greens: Remove steak from the pan. In the same pan, sauté chopped greens until wilted.
  9. Serve the Dish: Scoop cooked rice into bowls, top with seared steak, sautéed greens, and drizzle with ginger miso dressing.
