- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup kalamata olives, chopped
- 1/4 cup capers
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 15 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil water for the pasta and cook according to package directions.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until crispy.
- Add chopped onions and garlic to the skillet; sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in the olives, capers, and crushed tomatoes, along with chili flakes.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes, cooking until the pasta is ready.
- Drain the pasta, reserving a cup of pasta water, and mix into the skillet.
- Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce is too dry.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and add more olives if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if using.

Feel free to customize with different types of pasta or proteins. Gluten-free pasta works great.
