Description

A quick and easy recipe for seared wahoo topped with zesty mango salsa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 wahoo fillets
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Jalapeno or sriracha (optional, for spice)

Instructions

  1. Pat the wahoo fillets dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if desired.
  2. Heat a pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Place the fillets in the pan and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  4. While the fish is cooking, prepare the mango salsa by combining diced mango, red onion, lime juice, chopped cilantro, and jalapeno or sriracha if using.
  5. Top the cooked wahoo fillets with the mango salsa and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to pre-make the salsa to avoid overcooking the fish. Don’t touch the fish while searing for the best results.
