This Fan Favorite Pizza Sauce is rich, bold, and layered with Italian herbs and garlic. Perfect for quick weeknight pizzas or gourmet pizza nights.

- 1 can (28 oz) San Marzano tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until just warm.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds without browning. Stir in oregano and basil.
- Pour in the canned San Marzano tomatoes. Crush by hand if whole, or blend lightly.
- Season with salt, pepper, sugar (if using), and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer on low for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
- Blend for a smoother texture if desired. Skip if you prefer it chunky.
- Let sauce cool and store in airtight containers. Refrigerate or freeze as needed.
