Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by gathering all and preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl: whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy in another bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients gradually, alternating with milk.
- Add food coloring if desired for a marbled effect.
